Excited for Christmas

We are all excited for Christmas day.  We have waited for this day to come for like 11 months.  I must say, this is the most awaited holidays because during this season families are intact, having reunions, bonding and the likes.  This is the time of the year, where the families are complete.  Just like our family, it has been years since the last time we have celebrated Christmas together.  My two brothers are married and living very far from us and they opted to celebrate Christmas there.  I must admit I am sad and felt lonely during this time for years because I always remember my late mother.  I always thought of the days when we celebrate Christmas when my mother is still alive.  I have accepted the fact that she is no longer with us, just felt lonely at times.

But this year, I am so excited because my two brothers with their families are decided to celebrate Christmas with us.  We are complete this Christmas.  Woohoo!  I am so happy when they message me on Facebook that they are coming home this Christmas.  I am less lonely now, I am pretty sure this Christmas would be one of the memorable Christmas for the family.  We will have kris kringgle and will have a little party at home.  My sister-in-law and I are preparing games for parlor games and foods to share on the table.  Thank you Lord for the gift of family.

The countdown starts

Every time the month of September sets in, everyone started the countdown to Christmas day.  Excited?  Yes, I guess.  I am doing my countdown as well.  I think counting the days before Christmas day comes is kinda cute.  It makes the days special and exciting.  Waiting for this big day to come makes people happy, sad, worry and many other emotions.  Actually we do have this mixed emotions.  There are lots of things that makes us feels this way.  Speaking for myself, I am happy that Christmas is approaching because this is the holiday where the world celebrates, and I get to celebrate it with the family.  I am sad because I missed my mother.  I do wish that she is still alive and celebrating with us.  I am worried because Christmas means expenses. haha!  And I guess you know why I said it is expenses.

Anyways, Christmas is the season of giving and showing love to our love ones.  Though we have to show and give love each day of our lives, it is the Christmas season where people are a bit showy to what they feel.  Well, this is just my observation.  Since the countdown begins, let us all count the days left before Christmas.  Also give and show love to our love ones each day.

Making a List

Christmas is fast approaching.  I heard almost everyday in the radio and in television about their countdown on how many days left before Christmas.  I am so much excited because for the first time I am going to buy something for myself.  I so wanted to buy things that I have been wanting to have years back.  It is many to mention so I make a list of all the things that I wanted to buy.  It is so difficult because I have plenty of wants to have.lol Plus added the things that I will buy for the kids, family and dear friends.

The good thing about Christmas is that even if times are hard, people do buy things for their love ones and food to share on the table with their family.  This is what I like about this season.  The season of loving, giving and sharing. I can smell the spirit of Christmas here in the city.  The malls are started to be crowded because of the different sale.  People do love to shop when the malls are on sale because they get a discount.  I am writing on things on my list and I hope to buy some on a sale day.  It is good to do a list so that we will know what to buy and do the budgeting early.
